Ask, Believe, Receive

At the moment I am reading the book ‘The Secret‘ by Rhonda Byrne. I am blown away by it although I don’t know why. There is nothing in the book that I didn’t read before, but I guess it is the right time for me to hear all these things again.

It is amazing how simple it can be to turn your life around. All you have to is Ask, Believe and Receive. If it sounds so simple how is it possible I am still in circumstances I don’t want to be in? Because I don’t make it clear in my mind what I really want out of life. I guess I am just focusing too much on what I don’t want.

I know that the simple universal law of attraction works. I will give you an example of it. I once entered a competition of a magazine where I could win a meet & greet with someone I really admire. I entered the competition and said: This prize is mine! All I could think of was that I would win that competition and I told everyone who wanted to hear it that I was the one of who would win that meet & greet. It was all I could think about. I truly believed that it would happen. I asked and I believed. The universe had no other choice than to make it reality. I did win that meet & greet with my idol.

It makes you wonder why I don’t apply this to all the things I want in my life. I don’t know why. I tend to dwell on the bad things that happen in my life. I need to change my thoughts. I know I deserve so much more and better. The fact that I saw that book in the shop today was just a little nudge from the Universe to get me back on the right track.

Guts and Balls - The Medical Distinction

We’ve all heard about people having guts or balls. But do you really know the difference between them? In an effort to keep you informed, the definition for each is listed below…

GUTS

Guts is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: “Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?”

BALLS

Balls is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: “You’re next.”

I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome since both ultimately result in death!
