Maybe you don’t want to admit it, but you know that deep down inside you would love to be a pirate. Even if it was just for one day!

I give you 10 reasons why you secretly would love to be a pirate.

1. Pirates are cool! Pirates didn’t always have a good image, but ever since Jack Sparrow came on the big screen they are cool again! Who wouldn’t want to sail the oceans with him?
2. Pirates don’t obey the law. Pirates are outlaws, they don’t care about the authorities, rules or laws. Who doesn’t want to live according their own rules?
3. Pirates don’t pay for stuff they want. Are you sick and tired of having to pay for overpriced stuff? Pirates don’t worry about that, they get a five finger discount!
4. Pirates get to sail the oceans. Sick of your office job or your boss doing your head in? Pirates don’t have that problem, they get to sail off in the horizon.
5. Pirates can raise hell and get away with it. While you are expected to be Mr. nice guy or a sweet little princess, pirates can run a muck and get away with it.
6. Pirates can get wasted and don’t have to get up early for work. If you like to get drunk, you usually wait for the weekends so you don’t have to work with a hang over. Pirates don’t have that problem, they get wasted anytime they like.
7. Pirates get lucky with the ladies or guys! Having trouble picking up ladies or fellas? Pirates are chick or bloke magnates!
8. Pirates don’t always have to look presentable! How much time are you wasting in front of the mirror each morning? Pirates don’t have worry about shaving, putting on make up or having each hair perfectly in place.
9. Pirates get to play with weapons. I don’t encourage this of course, but who didn’t play with toy guns, toy swords, etc. as a kid? Pirates get to play with the real thing!
10. Pirates are courageous. I bet you wish that sometimes you had a little bit more guts to do certain things. Pirates have guts. Despite the fact that a lot of times they are outnumbered, they use scare tactics and attack another ship.
